Happy Christmas!

Bet you thought I messed up again with my Happy Christmas label. Not so. Today we received our last Christmas box. So we are munching on date pinwheel cookies and Hershey kisses. As you can see- "It never snows in Cork" -ha. How appropriate to open presents while the snow is falling!

We got about an inch of snow and that has practically shut down the city. It started snowing during sacrament meeting so the rest of the meetings were canceled. It kept snowing all day and took several hours before it began to stick. On Saturday (before the storm even arrived) it was announced that school was canceled until Thursday. The Irish will do anything for a day off!

These pictures are out our window.
Our charming Opel is the silver car on the left.
We have zone conference in Limerick (hour and 1/2 away) tomorrow and expected it to be postponed but our Utah pres didn't see an issue.
However, cars are inspected every zone conference and have to be clean. We went to 5 car washes and they were all closed. So we carried out buckets of hot water and washed it in the car park. We don't like to be hollered at. And we have to be obedient at least once!

You just can't get away from the snow can you? I can't believe that you trudged out there with water, I am sure that the Pres. would have understood.

You washed the car in that weather? I assume dad made you do it. That sounds like something he would insist on. The memories are flooding back now:

Dad: "Tyler, get out there and mow the lawn."

Tyler: "There is three inches of snow on the ground and its February."

Dad: "I don't care! Do it or else you will be rototilling the garden as well, AND you will be grounded this weekend."

Tyler: "Dad, I've been married for 5 years, you can't ground me."

Dad: "Wanna bet? And don't forget to mow at an angle, it makes the neighbors jealous."
